There are many vocations within the church but some are being called today to be priests, do not be slilent, it could be you

Please pray for them in their new roles. Next Youth Alive(NEW!)This will be back at Lowe House on Sunday 4th May at 6.30 pm. Come along for a great night. Easter Triduum(NEW!)The Easter Triduum was greatly enjoyed by those who attended the retreats here at Lowe House over the three days. Over these three days the young people looked at and explored different themes, such as on Maundy Thursday ‘making sense of it all’ and thinking about how Jesus breathed the same air that we breathe, and how we use our other senses such as taste, smell and touch, to try and remember and reflect upon, what Jesus and the disciples, must have experienced on that day and night of the Passover. We too had our own experience of a Passover meal, cooked by our very own Maria and Rick. Then on Holy Saturday, the group of young people, journeyed back over past few days and looked at the events of Holy week in the eyes of the disciples and how there was such contrast between the celebrations of Palm Sunday to the strange events of Thursday Evening! Then at the Easter Vigil the congregation witnessed 7 young people take that next step in their faith journey, and make their confirmation. We heard great testimonies from four of the confirmation candidates stating why they wished to be confirmed. Thank you to everyone who was in involved in the Triduum, each one of your contributions made it the great success it was.
Animate Team's trip to CologneWe all went to Cologne for a whistle stop tour of Liverpool's twin city. We met up with our friends, the three kings are star bearer who came to Liverpool for the Epiphany and opening celebrations of the the Capital of Culture year. We had a fantastic time in the city having a VIP visit to the Cologne Cathedrals treasury, shrine and special walk around the outside of the roof...scary!
We also went to an incredibly exciting ice hockey match and even better lego shop. Our hosts were wonderful and we hope to see our friends in Cologne again very soon. There is certainly never a dull moment being a member of the team!
Celebrate Weekend(NEW!)What a fantastic weekend at St Bede’s College, Manchester. The team led a stream which included, workshops, discussion, art, faith sharing music and most importantly prayer and worship. It was wonderful to work with such a lively and engaged group. |
