As the end of June approaches, we welcomed St Mary’s Blackbrook to Lowe House to work with Year 6 pupils focusing on the idea of ‘Loving Our Neighbour’. We took time to engage in three workshops which highlighted how God loves each of us and how we should show the same love to everyone we encounter and even people on the other side of the world! We held an ‘auction’ to buy supplies for each team even though the groups had different amounts of money to spend, highlighting the injustice of the world and we discussed ways which we can help charities to offer aid to those who are less fortunate than us. We also competed in several teamwork challenges, allowing the young people to help their neighbours who are closer to home. Overall, the day was really enjoyable for us and we hope the pupils had a great time too!
