We recently worked with year 9 pupils from St Edmund Arrowsmith to explore the theme of Lent and it’s 3 pillars.
For the first part of the day we focused on fasting, giving the young people a chance to complete a number of challenges or play a game which helped them think about why we fast and perhaps think of different things we can give up for Lent.
We then looked at almsgiving by looking at the idea of human trafficking and how different charities work to try and help those affected.
Finally, we thought about prayer, offering the young people different prayer workshops including the Stations of the Cross and writing Easter cards to be sent to the Holy Land.
We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent with the young people from St Edmund Arrowsmith and we hope that they use the ideas we thought about to support them on their Lenten journey.
