On Thursday 24th May Year 6 pupils from St Bernadette’s primary school in Shevington came to Lowe House for a retreat day focusing on the theme ‘It Was Then That I Carried You’, based on the popular poem ‘Footprints’. The day was a chance for the young people to be reminded that God is always there with them on their journey through life, especially as they prepare to leave primary school and go to high school. Fun activities throughout the day gave the pupils the chance to look back on their time together and what they have learned about themselves and others. The day ended with a chance for the young people to think of what they would like to be in the future: the person they may be called to be by God. The day was great fun and enjoyed by everyone involved.
