St. Bartholomew’s

On the 20th of May we welcomed year 6 pupils from St Bartholomew’s Primary School in Rainhill to Lowe House for a day to explore the theme “It was then that I carried you”, based on a 1930s poem by Mary Stevenson. Throughout the day we did a number of games and activities with the young people which focused on themes such as how we could ‘carry’ or ‘support’ the people around us, how the Gospel shows us examples of Jesus carrying others, how we can show that support to people who perhaps we may not always remember to carry and how God has equipped us to carry others, before ending with a time of prayer reflecting on the ‘Footprints in the sand’ poem.

We really enjoyed our day with year 6, and hopefully we’ll see a few of you in year 7 next year!
