On the 11th of February, we visited Cardinal Newman to explore the theme of “Christ at the Centre” with year 7 pupils. To begin the day, we did a number of activities to help understand how we can See God in our lives and how he is always there for us. Then, we split into 3 workshops to focus on the ideas of how we make choices, what decisions we may make and created some art work based on the theme of the day. Finally, we all gathered back together to look at how our choices can affect us, and how we can achieve our full potential by showing love to those around us and using the gifts given to us by God.
We really enjoyed the time we spent with the year 7s, and we can hope they can bring Christ closer to the centre of their lives following the day.
