Our final week of Day Retreats was spent with year 8’s from Cardinal Heenan, Liverpool.
The theme of the retreat days was ‘Team work, Responsibility and Resilience.’ Taking inspiration from St. Paul’s letter to the Philippians, we explored how we need to have concern for one another and take responsibility for each other.
Throughout the week, we challenged the year group to think about people who are caught in human trafficking. As Christians, it is our responsibility to stand up and take action for those who cannot themselves.
As a response to this, the year group have decided to support a charity that works in this field and invite guest speakers into school to hear and learn more about the ways in which they can support victims.
We had a great week working with year 8 and we wish you a happy and peaceful summer break!
