The Team...
The Animate Team are involved in dynamic initiatives. People spend a year or more living in community and working with over 5000 young people in a variety of settings. If you are up for a challenge and want the best year of your life, think of coming along and finding out more.
Animate also offers training for the team. There is informal 'in house formation', you can gain a level 2-3 NVQ. You can even become a qualified youth worker through your ongoing work at Animate and placements. Over a three year period you can gain a Foundation Degree in Youth Work or Youth Work and Ministry. This can then be converted into BA Hons.
If you want time to think about the future and what choices you can make before or after university, then give us a call!!!
Meet the Team...

What’s your name? Fr Stephen
Age? ancient
Where are you from? Well, born in Liverpool, lived in Lowton, but spent most of my life in Southport, and then Durham, Liverpool and now St Helens.
If you could be any fictional character which one would you be and why? Spiderman, because he’s always getting into and out of trouble again.
If you could go to any time in History when would you go to? The 1960’s, for all that was changing in society and the world. And of course the Beatles scene in Liverpool.
If you could have any super power what would it be and why? Invisibility
What’s your catch phrase? I say ‘really’ too much.
Who do you most admire? Obviously, Jesus, but also spiderman.
What one thing would you take on a desert island? Obviously apart from the Bible and a ‘mass kit’ with portable altar, I would take…*thinks for a while* … a boat.
What would be your perfect evening in? Dinner, TV with a few friends.
Favourite Cake? Maria, Helen and Rick’s carrot cake
Favourite worship song? Come Now is the Time to Worship -
Favourite Bible Quote? John 10:10 “I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full” It’s a bit good
What animal would you be? I think a sloth would be good… so you could hang in trees and do nothing. Jaffa Cake: cake or biscuit? For VAT reasons, it’s a biscuit. Sadly, I have done research on this and even preached on this dilemma facing the society we live in. If you research as much as I have you’ll find European directives around this key debate of our time.
