The Team...

The Animate Team are involved in dynamic initiatives. People spend a year or more living in community and working with over 9000 young people in a variety of settings. If you are up for a challenge and want the best year of your life, think of coming along and finding out more.

Animate also offers training for the team. There is informal 'in house formation', you can gain a level 2-3 NVQ. You can even become a qualified youth worker through your ongoing work at Animate and placements. Over a three year period you can gain a Foundation Degree in Youth Work or Youth Work and Ministry. This can then be converted into BA Hons. As a volunteer you will also get a monthly allowance of £225 to support you throughout the year.

	Name? Woody Age? Soon to be 24!!! Can’t believe it! Where are you from? Norbury, on the actual last road of Saaaaaaaauuuufff London in my area! Claim to fame or what!!! What’s your favourite catch phrase? Waddup Peeps! What’s your favourite Disney character? This is a tough one! I’ve always loved Little John from the Robin Hood film with the all the animals as the characters though! If you could send a text to God what would it say? I think you should let elephants be able to jump and crocodiles stick out their tongue, they’re missing out man! But I suppose if you say so… Who is your favourite biblical character? (Not including God himself) Melchizedek blatantly, he’s got a quality name! If you were an inventor what would you invent first? My own watch to stop time so that I could fit EVERYTHING that I wanted to into a day! If you could have a cup of tea with anyone in the world who would it be? Fabio Capello! Would let him know the secrets of how to win the World Cup with England in the summer! What is your favourite biblical quote? ‘Ephphatha’ it means ‘be opened’. I just think it’s a top quality word and the meaning is good for us all to reflect on! What do you want to be when you grow up? 6’3” Hehe! How funny I am! Oh dear! I still dream of playing for Crystal Palace one day!!! Which fictional place would you most like to visit? NeverNeverLand, would be well cool if it’s anything like on the film Hook! If you were an inventor what would you invent first? A button so that you could just press it and be like ready, washed, hair and make up done – BRILLIANT! New inventions - not a clue (I can never come up with original ideas) but if we are talking about great inventions from the past, I would say antibiotics to prevent the deaths of so many children from common illnesses.
