On the 13th of June we welcomed pupils from year 6 at St Michael’s Primary School in Liverpool, who spent a day exploring the theme of “it was then that I carried you”, focusing on a poem called ‘Footprints in the Sand’. To help us explore the theme, we did a number of activities. The first part of the day focused on how we could help the people who immediately surround us, such as our friends or family. After break, we thought about how we can help those who live a little further afield and we may sometimes forget we can help, and then we moved on to think about how God helps us, ending with a time of prayer that allowed the young people to reflect on the poem again and thank God for the people who have helped them.
It was brilliant to have year 6 at Lowe House, and we hope to see some familiar faces in year 7 classes next year!
