We had the pleasure of welcoming the Year 6 class from St Joseph’s Withnell to Lowe House on the 14th of June, to unpick the theme ‘It Was Then That I Carried You’. The young people had the opportunity to create Gospel dramas, use their teamwork skills in a series of games and challenges and even played the role of factory workers as we discussed the impact our actions can have on the world around us. The day covered all bases on how God carries us through our difficult times and how we can do the same thing for other people in our lives. We ended with a beautiful time of prayer, in which the young people meditated on a personalised version of the poem ‘Footprints in the Sand’ and wrote personal prayers about whatever was on their hearts. Overall, the day was great fun and it was great to get to know the young people better as the day progressed. We wish Year 6 all the best as they move on to High School in September!
